What We Do
Scene Watch Media is an independent community media outlet covering developing stories, emergency scenes, public safety, community matters and local events across Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains and surrounding South Georgian Bay communities.
We started Scene Watch Media because we believe local communities deserve timely, accurate and responsible coverage of the things that affect them most — from emergency scenes and public safety issues to community events and local matters that don't always make the regional news cycle.
We bring the scene to your screen through photography, timely updates and straightforward local reporting. We don't invent stories or speculate. We distinguish confirmed information from preliminary reports, and we take our responsibility to the community seriously.
Our Coverage Area
Scene Watch Media covers Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains, Clearview Township, Stayner, Creemore, Thornbury and surrounding communities throughout South Georgian Bay and southern Georgian Bay. If it's happening in our region, we're working to cover it.
First Responder Advocacy
Scene Watch Media advocates for all of our first responders — the firefighters, paramedics, police officers, dispatchers and emergency personnel who serve our communities every day. We believe the public has a role to play in supporting the staffing, equipment and resources that keep our communities safe, and we use our platform to raise awareness about those needs.
